French Polynesia
Dr. Jean Yves MEYER, is
a research scientist working for the Department for Research of the French
Polynesian Government. A
plant ecologist, field botanist and conservation biologist, he is studying the
patterns and processes of biological invasions, endemic species extinctions,
and past and current changes in plant community assemblages in Pacific Islands,
in collaboration with French (e.g. IRD, National Museum of Natural History of
Paris, CNRS) and foreign research institutions (e.g. UC Berkeley, Australian
National University of Canberra, University of Hawaii).
